App Store Screenshot Sizes: The Complete List
All pixel dimensions App Store Connect accepts for iPhone and iPad screenshots, and which ones you actually need to prepare.
TL;DR — you only need 1–2 sizes
Upload one set for the iPhone 6.9-inch display (1320 × 2868 px recommended) and App Store Connect scales it for every smaller iPhone. If your app also runs on iPad, add one set for the 13-inch display (2064 × 2752 px). That’s it.

General rules
- 1 to 10 screenshots per set (per locale).
- PNG or JPEG only.
- No alpha channel / transparency allowed.
- Each localization gets its own screenshot set — localized screenshots convert better.
Which size should you create?
Create at 1320 × 2868 px — the largest accepted 6.9-inch size. It stays sharp everywhere because smaller sizes are scaled down from it, never up.

Which App Store screenshot size do I actually need in 2026?
One set for the iPhone 6.9-inch display — 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796, or 1260 × 2736 px. If your app runs on iPad, add a 13-inch set at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 px. All smaller display classes are scaled automatically.
Do I still need 6.5-inch or 6.1-inch screenshots?
No — if you provide 6.9-inch screenshots, every smaller iPhone class is scaled from them. The 6.5-inch size is only required when no 6.9-inch set exists.
Are landscape screenshots allowed?
Yes. Each display class accepts landscape versions with width and height swapped — for example 2868 × 1320 px for the 6.9-inch display.
How many screenshots can I upload, and in which format?
Between 1 and 10 per set, as PNG or JPEG, with no transparency. Each locale can have its own set.
Where do these numbers come from?
