Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Slothy (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them.

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Article 1 (Application)

  1. These terms apply to all relationships between the user and the operator regarding the use of the Service.
  2. Any rules or notices posted separately on the Service form part of these terms.

Article 2 (Registration)

  1. Registration is completed when the applicant agrees to these terms, applies in the manner prescribed by the operator, and the operator approves it.
  2. The operator may decline an application without disclosing the reason, including where the application contains false information or where the applicant has previously violated these terms.

Article 3 (Account management)

  1. Users are responsible for managing their own login credentials at their own risk and may not transfer, lend, or share them with third parties.
  2. The operator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the account by a third party, except where caused by the operator’s intent or gross negligence.

Article 4 (Third-party API keys and fees)

  1. The Service operates using the user’s own App Store Connect and OpenAI API keys. The user is responsible for obtaining, managing, and complying with the terms of those services.
  2. AI generation runs on the user’s own OpenAI account, so the related usage fees are billed by OpenAI to the user.
  3. The user is responsible for all activity performed via these keys, including content pushed to the App Store.

Article 5 (Fees and payment)

  1. Users pay the fees for paid plans in the amount and by the method shown on the Service.
  2. Paid fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Article 6 (Prohibited conduct)

Users must not engage in the following when using the Service:

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
  2. Acts that infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of the operator or third parties.
  3. Acts that destroy or interfere with the functioning of the Service or its servers and network.
  4. Unauthorized access, or use of the Service beyond the scope authorized by the API providers.
  5. Reverse engineering, or any other act that the operator reasonably deems inappropriate.

Article 7 (Suspension of the Service)

The operator may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice in the following cases:

  1. When performing maintenance or updates of the system.
  2. When provision becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquake, fire, or power outage.
  3. When a third-party service the Service depends on (such as App Store Connect or OpenAI) is unavailable.
  4. When the operator otherwise reasonably determines that provision is difficult.

Article 8 (Restriction and cancellation)

  1. The operator may, without prior notice, restrict a user’s use or cancel their registration if the user breaches these terms or if the operator otherwise reasonably deems use inappropriate.
  2. The operator is not liable for any loss arising to the user from actions taken under this article.

Article 9 (Disclaimer of warranties)

  1. The Service is provided “as is,” and the operator does not warrant that it is free of defects, errors, or interruptions, or that the results of AI generation are accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
  2. The user is responsible for reviewing generated content before submitting it to the App Store and for compliance with Apple’s guidelines.
  3. Except in cases of the operator’s intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Service.

Article 10 (Changes to the Service and terms)

  1. The operator may change, add to, or discontinue the content of the Service without prior notice to users.
  2. The operator may revise these terms when necessary. Revised terms take effect when posted on the Service, and continued use constitutes agreement to them.

Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the operator’s location as the court of first instance.
